Target audience
Dancers, choreographers, movement artists, and performers—whether already established professionals or those in the process of becoming professionals—who wish to develop tools, skills, and processes for creation and transmission through the experience of dance.
Pricing and Financing
The Corps sismographe® professional training program, offered by the dance company Le Prix de l'essence, is Qualiopi-certified.
It may be eligible for funding through Afdas or France Travail.
Training Cost
Individual rate: €700 per session. Total: €2,800 (including tax)
Organization rate: €1,500 per session. Total: €6,000 (including tax)
Level of prerequisite knowledge
Dance Artists:
Professional level in dance or currently pursuing professional training:
- Initial dance training equivalent to a postgraduate degree (CEC), an advanced training program, or a master’s degree in dance with concurrent practical training.
or
- Professional experience: performance in one production or one year of experience as a freelance artist.
Performing arts artists:
Professional candidates who do not have initial training in dance must provide proof of 500 hours of dance practice.
A limited number of spots may be allocated to professionals from other sectors who use movement, creation, or art in their practice. The candidate’s motivation for pursuing the program and the alignment of their project with the curriculum will be carefully considered.

Objectives
Acquire the tools for expressing the Corps sismographe® technique and its language: Réel Machine.
- Develop the ability to apply this language in spontaneous, on-site composition.
- Develop the ability to engage simultaneously with both inner and outer worlds in expression.
- Develop the ability to engage with environments, dance partners, and the audience as potential sources of expression.
- Be able to integrate these learnings into the body of knowledge encompassing all the subjects taught.
- Develop a unique form of expression using the tools provided to create a powerful and shared artistic experience.
- Be able to integrate one’s own artistic language with the Réel Machine language to develop one’s own creativity and subsequently apply it in one’s creations.
- Acquire the ability to integrate theory and practice, and to engage in theoretical, philosophical, social, and personal reflection on the challenges of one’s artistic work.
- Learn to use the Réel Machine dance cards in the creative process.
- Earn the Corps Sismographe® method certificate: Acquire proficiency in the subjects taught, in order to apply them in practice for artistic creation and/or teaching purposes.
Methods used
- In-person and movement-based instruction, in a dance studio or off-site.
Exploration through movement and improvisational choreography.
Time for theoretical instruction and Q&A.
Group sessions for discussion and sharing experiences.
Use of the Réel Machine card game.
1 hour of individual coaching between sessions.
Personal work between sessions.
Presentation of a personal project at the end of the course.
Teaching resources
Teaching and support staff: One lead instructor: Nadia Vadori-Gauthier; one program director and instructor: Gaël Giraud; and two professional artists trained in teaching the method: Margaux Amoros and Lucas Hérault.
Materials and technical resources provided to trainees: A folder containing teaching materials, a 200-square-meter dance studio with hardwood floors, hi-fi equipment, a video projector, a library of thematic books, anatomical aids, balls and resistance bands, drawing supplies, audio and video materials dedicated to choreographic research or filmed recordings of works resulting from this practice, and a bibliography.
Number of trainees per workstation: a maximum of 27 trainees is permitted. Work will regularly be organized into smaller working groups, allowing for deeper sharing and exchange with fellow trainees.
Assessment procedures: Assessment is ongoing and takes place through individual and group interviews.
Prior to the training
For each session, an email containing the welcome booklet specific to that session is sent to all participants no later than 7 days before the start of the training. This email also includes the organization’s rules and regulations, which you will find attached.
The booklet can be sent in English to accommodate non-French-speaking trainees who join our training sessions.
During the training
The training is offered in-person, in a studio, and with ongoing support. The schedule is divided among the instructors based on the program’s themes. The educational content consists of sessions for learning tools, training exercises, solo and group explorations, improvisations, sharing of experiences, and analyses of textual, philosophical, and artistic resources that can enrich the learning and creative processes, as well as time for writing and integration.
The proposed pedagogy opens up the possibility of adapting the Corps Sismographe® method to one’s own practice and objectives.

Applications will be followed by a video interview with each candidate. This will help us get to know you better and put together a cohesive group.
Admission decisions will be announced in May 2026.
Access Customization Options
The video interview provides an opportunity to explain the training details to each internship candidate. This interview allows prospective interns to clarify their expectations and determine the most suitable arrangements based on their preferences and any potential constraints.
If the applicant’s profile meets the required criteria and their expectations align with the educational program and can be integrated into a group setting, the applicant will be promptly notified by email of their admission to the program.
During the admission process, the following factors may also be taken into account: length of time in the profession (based on the first reported freelance contract); professional experience; the candidate’s personal or collective artistic practice (within a company or through other training programs); or degrees obtained or currently being pursued (doctoral, advanced studies, or master’s).
Review of the work
The Corps sismographe® training program is a professional training course not listed in the National Directory of Professional Certifications (RNCP).
It awards an artistic certificate that enables artists to use and teach the tools of this method professionally. It certifies the skills acquired through the Corps sismographe® method.

Procedures for making up missed work
Students must attend at least 90% of a session—that is, 70 hours—to pass the session. Any missed hours must be made up. If a class is missed, each student must arrange to make up the class and submit a record of the classes missed and made up. See the procedures for making up missed work in case of absence
MODULE CERTIFICATION (AS SKILLS BLOCKS)
The training modules are organized by topic, corresponding to skill sets. During registration, we will give priority to candidates who wish to complete the entire training program. However, subject to availability, it will be possible to validate one or more skill sets without completing the entire program. These skill sets may be taken into account in future training programs.
Equivalencies
Since the Corps Sismographe® method is a unique choreographic approach, no equivalent training in another technique can exempt participants from completing part of the training program.
