This program is designed for choreographers and performing artists—whether already established professionals or those in the process of becoming professionals—who wish to acquire creative and compositional tools to nurture and develop artistic processes, both individual and collective. The teaching team is committed to supporting the uniqueness and diversity of artistic approaches.

The method involves a specific physicality and technical aspects, activated each morning during training. It thus fosters a qualitative approach to phrasing in composition. By combining unconscious and imaginative elements with conscious tools for composition and shaping, it can adapt to each individual’s techniques and practices, in order to develop and expand the possibilities of interpretation, composition, and creation in relation to the world.

The Corps sismographe® method involves both poetry
It consists of 8 modules organized into 4 sessions of 11 days (including 3 in Paris and 1 in nature) designed to achieve pedagogical objectives:

Learning the basics of the method, integrating them, and applying them in practice.
Advanced tools for interpretation and instant choreographic composition.
A theoretical foundation incorporating philosophical and artistic references relevant to the practice
Simulated teaching scenarios.
The presentation of a personal artistic project.

Dance Cards

A card game called “Réel Machine,” specially designed by Nadia Vadori-Gauthier to foster creative processes, serves as a learning tool. It provides artists participating in the training with a fun and comprehensive resource that creatively integrates the various principles of the method into their creative processes.
“Réel Machine” is the name of the choreographic language implemented in a playful and creative way through the method’s card game. Each participant will receive a copy.

Personal projects

Independent work outside of class is required for each module. At the end of the program, participants who have successfully completed all course requirements and submitted their independent work will receive a certificate in the Corps sismographe® method. This certification will allow them to use the method’s protocols and name in their creative work and public communications, as well as to teach this method in their own workshops and classes.

Session I, Modules 1 and 2

 October 19–30, 2026

MODULE 1 - FLUID FOUNDATION: Cellular foundation / Body fluids / Sensations and perceptions / Bones / Fascia
This module explores the fluid dimension of movement by developing a refined sensory and perceptual awareness of the body, with the aim of enriching artistic expression and opening up new possibilities and sources from which to dance.

MODULE 2 - VIBRATION AND RESONANCE / DYNAMICS UNDERLYING FORMS / THE POWER OF THE IMAGINATION
This module helps open internal spaces to resonate with the external world and nurture a choreographic expression capable of summoning, validating, and embodying one’s own images.

Session II : modules 3 eand 4

February 8–19, 2027

MODULE 3 - THE POWER OF EMOTION, PHYSICALITY, AND MUSICALITY / INTERPERSONAL DYNAMICS
This module combines composition based on sensations and emotions with musical phrasing.
Participants are invited to distinguish the nuances of sensation and emotion in expression in order to modulate them in composition, while simultaneously acquiring tools for phrasing and musicality in dance (recognizing and analyzing the different phrases of a piece of music, variations in rhythm and phrasing, instruments, etc.)

MODULE 4 - IMAGE, MOVEMENT, AND FORM / GAZES AND “UNSPOKEN PARTS”
This module offers tools to develop a living awareness of images and danced forms, articulating presence and connection to other realms, while cultivating both formal precision and openness to the moment.
At the same time, specific work on gaze and address allows dancers to modulate bodily states and their relationship with the audience in order to connect interiority and exteriority.

Session III : modules 5 and 6

 April 5–16, 2027

MODULE 5 - IMPROVISATIONAL COMPOSITION AND CHOREOGRAPHIC WRITING
This module focuses specifically on improvisational composition in dance and choreography, incorporating various tools from the method. The emphasis is on the clarity and effectiveness of movement in relation to partners, music, and space.

MODULE 6 - SEISMOGRAPHIC BODY AND ENVIRONMENTS
This module focuses on applying the tools in various spaces outside of dance studios (nature, interiors, urban spaces, etc.) and on teaching these tools to others.
Participants will be able to experiment with the “Seismograph Body®” and “Réel Machine” dance maps in various contexts and adapt their range of tools to each context.

Session IV : modules 7 and 8

August 30–September 10, 2027

MODULE 7 - “MILLE-FEUILLE” AND COLLECTIVE COMPOSITION
This module is dedicated to learning the “Mille-feuille” technique, which involves layering forms of expression to transition from one level of expression to another by adding or subtracting parameters. This practice requires an advanced level of experience with the tools integrated into the “Mille-feuille.” This enables the creation of choreographic and/or performative scores that can be adapted to specific projects.

MODULE 8 - PROJECT PRESENTATIONS - PROFESSIONAL QUESTIONS
At the end of the training, a personal artistic project related to the Corps sismographe® method will be presented to the entire group. Each trainee will have 30 minutes for their presentation and 15 minutes for questions and feedback.

New Maps

These training modules allow certified dancers to discover, practice, and incorporate the new elements of the method:
Open to dancers who have completed the Corps sismographe® training

New Cartographies 1: Transindividual Maps

Transindividual approaches in the creation of choreographic pieces in the studio and in nature:
- Engaging in dance, in groups or solo, through transpersonal connections.
- Exploring the poetics of resonance in natural settings by invoking a vibrational silence.
- Deepening one’s sense of phrasing and musicality.

New Cartographies 2: Poetics and Elementary Dynamics

Create a dance inspired by the poetics and dynamics of the five fundamental elements and their archetypes: water, earth, air, fire, and ether.

The module has between 15 and 20 participants.
